Collaborating is Communicating

Collaborating is gaining more ideas in learning, I mean isn’t it just the same as gaining more metres in Rugby?  Just like in Rugby, I believe you get work done more efficient and easier if you collaborate like a team.

Why I think we should collaborate is because if your friend wasn’t listening to the teacher you could help them out, so they won’t get in trouble and instead, start listening so they gain more knowledge.

My second reason is because you can develop skills that you need when you go to highschool - you might go to a school where you hardly know anyone so it is good to have good social skills and make new friends.

My third reason is If you were shy then one thing that can help is getting out of your comfort zone and to share ideas with others you don’t know.  

My fourth reason is that we are always in partners so then we could be able to gain ideas and share our ideas to others. We also should be in partners, because we always are able to have fun and at the same time we also get to learn new things we haven’t learnt before.

As stated above, I strongly believe we should collaborate because if your friend wasn’t listening to the teacher you could help them out. So what I mean is if your friend wasn’t in trouble he or she could be actually learning new things.

To conclude I recommend people to go in groups because people will always finish their work to high standards, and not only share their work to the class, but with the world on their blog.

How To Be A Good Discoverer

Hi all! If you are reading this then you are wanting to be a discover. Being a discoverer is one thing we have all find hard, but it is real easy if you put your heart into it. If you follow my explanation, you too could head your way into the world of discovery.

To be a good discover you have to be ambitious. Being ambitious means challenging yourself and always asking questions about things. It means being curious to find out answers and striving to succeed. If you are ambitious then it means you are always challenging yourself.

Being a discoverer means you need to have an open mind. Having an open mind means thinking outside of the box, being creative when doing your searches, and also admitting when you’re wrong at times when people have their say. Doing this, you could be a closer to finding the truth.

Another point on being a good discoverer is having strong evidence. This means that you need some proof (pictures, results) to help you make your point. Doing this, you could have everyone believe you when you have evidence with you.

If you follow,do and be these three words, you could have a bright future in front of you. If you are willing to be a discoverer, you will be:

• Ambitious
• A discoverer with an open mind, being creative
• Determination

These things will help you in your journey on being a discoverer, and maybe you could encourage others to become discoverers too, as we are all born curious. I would become one because I am always wondering about everything around me, like Why is the sky blue? and How can we see colour?

It was finally Guy Fawkes my dad bought some bad boy’s. We went straight outside with excitement. We had a perfect view from our van. We started off with our little sparkles. I was writing my name in the air. Even my little cousin was.

Then we were having a contest with our next door neighbours. We had these little boxes with heaps of fireworks. We were wondering what it would do. All of sudden it has such loud sounds and it was going everywhere.

I was wondering such a small thing does such loud noises. We found the cascades so we lit those and me and Sake threw them in the air. One almost landed on my mum because of Sake. She was so scared.

I was getting hungry so I went inside and had a little feed and came back outside and it was finished. So went in and started watching other peoples one. It was a fun night bonding with my family.

Touch Tournament 

 We all ready to go to our tournament at Dunkirk road. I was wondering who would be the next touch champions for 2013. I arrived at Dunkirk and we the school’s already there. I could see Pt England,G.I.P,Panmure Bridge and St Pie X. We got there and the schools started to stare at us like we were strangers. We got there and our T.P.S referees were already there. We all got settled down and started to practice. We started of by doing our stretches. After we focused on our catching and passing skills. Later we had a match against Glen Taylor and we beat them 6 to 3. We remembered to be humble winners and gracious losers. We shaked hands and we were proud for our win. We had our next game straight away after and we were versuing G.I Primary. We started first and got the 1st try for the day. We carried on they got the second try we were a bit down but we held our head up. Unluckily the time was finished but we carried on and one of the G.I Primary kids jumped out landed and got the ball out. The ref still called it as a try it was a disappointment for every body but still gracious losers. We lost 2-1 so it was a close game. We a 1 hour break. Then they called our name and we had Panmure Bridge next. We started of and scored straight away. It was our turn in defense I told sam come off so they scored. We carried on we won 6-1. It was finals against us and GI we were nervous still we kept our head high like a real team. We settled down but they started but we still worked as a team. We had a strong defense line. Unfortunately they scored and we were down by one. Miss Liddicoat told us to run it straight and make some meters. So me Kini and Darwin started working a rugby team. We made the meters and then it was final me and darwin had something we been practicing. We did it and we did it we got the try we deserved. It was game over it was a draw. We were surprised. It came to price giving unfortunately it was a decision so we had to come second. So I remembered the most important thing we worked as a team. Also I had fun and humble winner and gracious losers.

My Pool Journey

It was a bright morning me Vai,Sake and Taufa got changed and we were off. We were walking up and down like a hiking trip. Finally we were there. My heart started to beat rapidly as we were there. we stomped over to the counter took out the money about to pay but it was free.

We went to take of our T-shirts only and power walked our way in and we dived in. I look around and I see the the sparkling and glamorous water. It was like a once in a lifetime opportunity. After we played American football.

They ganged up on Vai so I swam and I dived down and felt something it was Sake’s pants. I felt something coming my way I got up it was a fist coming my way POW I was down like dead people.

I got furious went down and pulled his pants down I saw something didn’t want to see. He drowned me and I could taste a lot of different kind of water. I was screaming under and bubbles starting growing and popping.

I stayed still and I could feel my vines starting to froze. I could observed a lot of things happening to my body. At that moment I felt like I was going to pass out but then he let go. I glided up and I took my was breathe. I got out and I could sense deep down me my heart was pumping 10x faster.

We all got out and left the pool and got changed. We all finished left the building and said to the nice office lady have a good day.

Philippe Petit Confidence

As I hovered above the cable and hesitated when I took my first step. I look around I see people rushing to work. My balancing pole starting to wobble because of the wind blowing. My heart starts to frost for a while and I think what am I doing risking my life just to cross the most greatest towers in New York City. I look at my friends and I think to myself I stand before you guys. So I carried on leaping over the tight rope with confidence and braveness.

I concentrate on crossing the rope. I look down and search for my family and friends and it looks like they are encouraging by waving and pointing down. I could hear half of my instinct saying to get off and the other half is saying to keep going and hold on to that confidence through this journey above this cable.

I stand there with my eyes closed and I only could see pitch black.  As I just stand there I could feel the wind blow through my veins so  I opened my eyes and carried on crossing the rope. As I am almost there so he predicted how many steps until he finishes. I think what would happened if I fall so I struggled to look down I look to the other side and it was hard to cross but I believed in myself in the first time I took my first step before everybody here.

I have couple more steps to go and I feel proud of myself and other people may be of me. It started to get dark cops were waiting for me to get of so I walk and walk I get there I throw the balancing stick over and put my risk out and I feel emotional and brave also sore because of the handcuffs and I was gone to court and the judge says I have community service.

My reading goal is to use my prior knowledge so that I make a great connection with the book I am reading. This will help to increase my comprehension about the books I read.

MATHS
My maths goal is to use different maths strategies to solve complicated maths problems.
PERSONAL
I need to improve on handing my homework in on time.  I would like to represent my school in all the sports we play at school. I would also like to become more of a role model and have more responsibilities.
